Luca Camerini, University of Lugano
I was born in Milano (Italy), 24th April 1983.
After high-school studies in Classics (Liceo "San Raffaele", Milano) I attended the Bachelor program in Communication Technologies (Faculty of Communication Sciences, University of Lugano).
I graduated in 2005 and started a Master program in Communication Technologies (Faculty of Communication Sciences, University of Lugano).
I graduated (MS) in Sept. 2007 and Im now involved in the research activity of the Institute of Communication and Health of the University of Lugano with the role of Graduate Research Assistant.
The topic of my research is Knowledge Translation in the Health Communication Domain the focus of the research is the analysis and modeling, from a theoretical and empirical point of view, of those communicative processes within health institutions that involve knowledge interchange (e.g. physician to patient, physician to physician, hospital to hospital, hospital to government etc), with a particular insight on the role played by communication technologies.
Also, there is a leading project supported by the Ente Ospedaliero Cantonale ticinese (EOC) on this research topic.
